What We Insure

Hagerty International insures classic and collector cars. We will consider almost any car that is not the regular use car of the policyholder. We offer full coverage for a huge variety of classic, stock, and safety-modified vehicles. We always try to be flexible in our underwriting, but essentially we insure the following:

Veteran Cars (pre 1910)
Vintage Cars (1910 to 1950)
Classic Cars (1950 to 1970)
Modern Classic Cars (1970 to 1990)
Future Classic Cars (post 1990)
Historic Race Cars (transit and storage insurance)

Sorry we don't insure

Hagerty does not offer an insurance product for:

Drivers under the age of 30.
Inexpensive home-built car kits that do not replicate a classic vehicle.
Drivers with poor driving records.
Any vehicles used for off-road or utility type driving.
Pro-street vehicles modified exclusively with racing features such as roll cages, wheelie casters, nitrous systems, parachutes, etc. (Consideration may be given to show-use only vehicles).
Regular-use vehicles driven on a daily basis.
Vehicles used primarily for commercial use.
Motorcycles built after 1980.
Caravans.
TVR’s after 1980.
1990 or newer vehicles doing more than 3000 miles per annum.
