Double Twelve Driving Concours still accepting entries

With only a month to go, the Double Twelve Driving Concours at the Brooklands Double Twelve Motoring Festival on June 16th and 17th is gearing up to be a fantastic weekend of classic car fun.

The Double Twelve Driving Concours will involve 144 classic and vintage cars taking part in driving tests and a Concours d’Elegance over two days, and up to 100 pre-war cars will take part in the Double Twelve Speed Trials, a sprint on the adjoining Mercedes-Benz World circuit on Saturday. On Sunday, The Test Hill Challenge will take place in the early afternoon - expect everything from Sinclair C5s, bicycles and motorcycles to giant pre-war racing cars to tackle the steep test hill, with running races up the 352-foot (107m) concrete slope for children. Some vehicles may even head down the hill in a test of their brakes. With family entertainment as well, this is a weekend for everyone!

Some very important Bentleys have already entered, but organisers are seeking other vintage Bentleys with Brooklands history as well as Brooklands-era WO cars. The Double Twelve offers car owners the opportunity to show off your pride and joy but also demonstrate your finely tuned and enviable driving skills. The winner will leave with the world famous Double Twelve Trophy.

If you are interested in entering your vintage Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Lagonda or similar Brooklands-era car, contact Nic Waller at nic.waller1@virgin.net.

The organisers still have space for both pre- and post-war sports and touring cars, as well as the Veteran class. A few places are also available in the Alfa Romeo 105 class and the MGB class. In addition, time is running out to enter the Coupe des Dames Celebration class (for ladies only).
